.....Once again, Governor Mike Huckabee is trying to cover his misguided and deadly decisions by blaming others. Justice and common sense take a back seat to his love and compassion for criminals. Huckabee commutes the sentences of violent offenders without thoroughly investigating the cases. He mostly relies on the recommendations of liberal judges and liberal parole boards.
.....Huckabee supported the release of rapist/murderer Wayne Dumond from prison. Of course, Dumond raped and murdered again after his release. Gov. Huckabee blamed every one else for this travesty, because he was not the one who physically opened the prison door.
.....Huckabee also commuted the sentence of future cop executioner, Maurice Clemmons, because he thought the sentence was too harsh. He believed that 108 years for burglary and armed robbery at the age of 16 was an excessive punishment. He didn’t bother asking anyone for details on why Maurice was given such a long sentence. Gov. Huckabee never asked the sentencing judge or the jurors for an explanation of their decision. He saw no need to bother reading the court transcripts. Maybe he would have discovered that Clemmons was a violent man who carried improvised weapons into the courtroom and assaulted a bailiff with a padlock. Had he spoken to prison officials, Huckabee would have learned that Clemmons repeatedly violated prison rules. No, Governor Huckabee recklessly did the “Christian” thing and signed the commutation paperwork which would lead to the murder of four fine police officers. Unfortunately, innocent Americans will have to suffer additional pain, for years to come, due to Gov. Huckabee’s commutation of hundreds of other felons.
.....Though not on par with rape and murder, I would like to point out another one of Mike Huckabee’s perversions of the idea of Christian compassion. He believes in forcibly taking property from one man, and giving it to another. If the original and rightful owner of the property resists this confiscation, Gov. Huckabee believes the owner should be put in prison. If the man resists being taken to prison, he must be shot. He believes this process could be streamlined by instituting the Fair Tax, but the enforcement and redistribution would be equally ruthless.
